Happy New Year!

I know it’s 7th January but it’s not too late to wish you a Happy New Year is it?

How was your Christmas?  I hope it was good for you.

I hosted this year, but my other half, Nick, was working so I did the hosting myself. I had my parents, my sister and her husband and their two year old daughter, and my in-laws over. We had a lovely time and Nick made it home for the evening, which was great.

New Year’s Eve came and went for me this year.  I have two and five year old sons so my New Year’s Eve looked like this:

I did however, wake up at midnight as my neighbours we’re letting off fireworks. I got up and looked out of the window and could see, not just next doors, but loads of fireworks going off across the town. It was brilliant. 🎆🎆🎆

I went back to bed and although I felt tired (Christmas holidays with two little ones does that to you!) but I just couldn’t get back to sleep. My brain was buzzing with all the things I want to accomplish this year – personally, health wise, family and friends, with my business – so with Nick sleeping next to me I got out my phone and listed everything that was on my mind.

20 minutes later I was done. It didn’t take long but it felt so much better writing down everything that was on my mind and now I know where I want my life to go this year.

One of the things for me personally on the list included making more friends – I’ve lived in my town for 4 years now but I still only know a handful of people.  It’s easy with young children to stick to the same places and just make chit chat with other mums, especially as it takes time to build a friendship but this year I will make more proper friends.

Boom – I’ve declared it, now I just have to go and make it happen!

Maybe you want to see your family more often (or less!), maybe you want to be healthier, maybe you want more clients???
